100 YEARS OF DELTA AIR LINES
BOEING 757-200 ( 1984-PRESENT )
Delta was the launch customer for the Boeing 757 fitted with PW2037 engines . The first 757 delivered to Delta was Ship 602 ( N602DL ), which arrived in Atlanta on November 5 , 1984 . On December 1 , 1984 , Delta first flew the 757-200 from Atlanta to Birmingham and Dayton . Today , Delta operates the largest Boeing 757-200 fleet in the world ; it has 98 of the type in service .

BOEING 767-300 ( 1986-PRESENT )
Delta was the first US carrier to fly a Boeing 767-300 . The inaugural flight , on December 1 , 1986 , was from Atlanta to Miami . The airliner served Delta ’ s high-demand intermediate and longrange runs , including transcontinental and Hawaiian routes . Two years later , Delta ordered the Boeing 767-300 ( ER ), the first arriving in 1990 . By 2006 , DL was flying the type in Latin America and Puerto Rico , on the US mainland between Atlanta and Florida , and over medium to long transcontinental routes . Delta shed its last non-ER 767- 300 on June 3 , 2019 .

BOEING 737-300 ( 1987-2010 )
On April 1 , 1987 , Western Airlines merged with Delta , and brought 13 Boeing 737-300s . Through different leases and acquisitions , the airline amassed 31 of the type , which it mostly based in Salt Lake City and Atlanta . The last 737-300 to leave the fleet was N307WA in April 2010 .
