The ongoing expansion of Porto Airport ’ s connectivity stems from its close collaboration with regional and national tourism entities . The airport connects directly to more than 106 destinations through more than 30 airlines ; notably , TAP Air Portugal , Ryanair ( FR ), and EasyJet ( U2 ). Seven of those airlines and 17 of those routes came in 2023 alone .
AN EXTENSIVE ROUTE NETWORK
Porto is handy not only for people in Portugal , but also for travelers from Northern Spain . While Spanish airports are great for regional flights , their international options are relatively limited . Porto ’ s network — especially its connections to major European hubs like London , Paris , Istanbul , Riga , and Frankfurt — is more robust .
The presence of low-cost carriers like Ryanair and EasyJet is another big draw . These airlines have strong operations at Porto . More destinations at lower prices ? For many travelers , it ’ s a win-win .
