Alaska Airlines ( AS ) confirmed that it will repaint its much-loved ‘ Salmon Thirty Salmon ’, a custom Boeing 737 that looks like a 129ftlong Alaska king salmon . The airplane ’ s name comes from a 1987 incident when an AS jet was struck by a salmon dropped by a bald eagle in Juneau .
