went through the movies , TV , and music sections , I found nothing more than a dozen Arabic films , half a dozen American TV mini-series ( luckily in English ), and a dozen music albums , mainly with Arabic music .
As the feature was almost useless for non-Arabic passengers , I switched the iPad off and turned to a book I brought from home . As the aircraft had no Wi-Fi , it was impossible to download movies or TV programs during the flight ; I should have downloaded some on a personal device before departure .

“ We recently addressed this issue by enriching the contents streaming through our iPads and by differentiating them in accordance with the destination of each flight ,” the CEO told me later . “ As a result , those flying out of or to Europe can now enjoy IFE contents that are not the same as those dedicated to Saudi Arabia services . And , later in the year , we ’ ll provide selected passengers with Apple Vision devices for a unique inflight entertainment experience .”
On the brighter side , the seating space was very wide and the leg room so abundant that , even with my legs fully stretched , I could not touch the seat in front of me . To summarize , the flight experience was positive and , in its way , sophisticated . Surely different from a trip in a conventional Business Class cabin .
