To handle the demand , VN makes use of 10 check-in counters at Terminal 2E : five for flight VN18 to Hanoi , and five for flight VN10 to Ho Chi Minh City . Despite the number of counters , none are reserved for SkyPriority members or Business Class travelers . Premium passengers have to use the Air France checkin area instead .
Our flight , which took place on December 2 , 2023 , was operated by VN-A892 , a sevenyear-old Airbus A350-941 with a capacity for 305 passengers : 29 in Business , 36 in Premium Economy , and 240 in Economy Class , which was laid out in a standard 3-3-3 configuration .
I boarded the aircraft and sat in 20A , which had already been prepared with a blanket , a pillow ,

headphones for the IFE , and a small bottle of water . The pitch , which was generous for a 5 ’ 9 ” passenger , enabled me to fully stretch my legs under the seat in front of me . Two universal power outlets were available for every group of three seats .
The seat pocket contained the Heritage inflight magazine , accompanied by the safety card , a Vietnam travel guide , and an air sickness bag . The headrest was adjustable .
After boarding had been completed , and even before pushing back , the crew handed out hot towels to all passengers . This feature , which is typical of Business Class , is not at all common in Economy . This detail was completely unexpected but very well thought out .
