Traveling for business always gives me the chance to take a closer look at what is happening in the air transport world as it continually adapts to new challenges and opportunities while striving to be safe , efficient , and sustainable .
One of the aspects that fascinates me is how airlines have absorbed digital technology during the last decades . Long gone are paper tickets , visits to the offices of the airlines , requests for timetables , and calls to a reservation agent to confirm a flight .
