The third area , B-East , opened in October 2022 . It had been scheduled to open in December 2021 , but a hot-water pipe break caused significant damage and flooding just as the project was supposed to wrap up . When opening day finally arrived , 10 months later , Concourse B-East had 10 new gates , three of which replaced the existing regional-sized ones , plus 12 new hall rooms totaling 126,000sq ft ( 11,700m 2 ). All the new gates are leased to United Airlines and include 6,000sq ft ( 560m 2 ) of new concessions space .
