AIRLINE REVIEW Icelandair

Before the XLR , Icelandair aims to introduce the Airbus A321LR . “ The efficient A321XLR aircraft will further strengthen our business model ,” Bogason said , “ increase our flexibility and provide opportunities for future growth , as well as further support our sustainability efforts . The first aircraft is scheduled for delivery in 2029 , but we plan to have four Airbus aircraft in operation before summer of 2025 and have now secured the lease of new A321LR aircraft with our longterm partner SMBC Aviation Capital Limited .”
Despite the differences in the aircraft ( and amenity kit ), the flight experience was very close to that of my inbound flight . Same seat , same Wi-Fi , and same excellent catering . Overall , a comfortable sevenhour journey across the North Atlantic , flying side-by-side the aircraft that breeze past Iceland each day . In the future , the new Airbus fleet will operate the route .

12 The content of the amenity kit . It includes all the essentials . Designed by Sara Riel , the case is made out of high-quality kraft paper . Each kit bag contains skincare products , earplugs , a dental kit ( toothbrush and toothpaste ), eyeshade , and socks – plus a small gift from Sara Riel , in the form of illustrated postcards .
13 Dinner was served and I went once again with the fish option . Having already had a large dinner in the Saga lounge , I struggled to finish my meal . Similarly to the AMS-KEF flight , the product quality was excellent .
14 We approached Seattle , appreciating its skyline . Just ahead of paying a visit to the city , our aircraft flew close to Everett .
