On July 13 , Delta Air Lines ( DL ) exercised options to add 12 additional Airbus A220-300s to the fleet , bringing the airline ’ s total firm A220 order to 131 aircraft . DL remains the world ’ s largest customer and operator of the type .

Global Crossing Airlines ( G6 ) took delivery of its second Airbus A321 freighter . The aircraft will support G6 ’ s growing cargo business and will operate out of Miami ( MIA ) into Latin America and the Caribbean .

Amazon ’ s private airline , which outsources cargo flying to third parties , has ended its partnership with Silver Airways ( 3M ). The regional carrier operated five ATR72-500s on short-haul feeder routes . These planes have been parked in Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport ( AFW ) since early July .
