Premium Blue cabin — just five rows in a 2-3-2 cross-section , for a total of 35 seats .
As I settled into 8A ( the row count inexplicably starts from 5 ), one of the three Flight Attendants tasked to take care of the cabin noticed me , came by , greeted me , and asked what I would like as a welcome drink . Champagne , of course ! This was brought to my seat in a stem glass ( no plastic ).
Inspecting the seat , I immediately noticed two things . On the good side , the pillow and blanket were both enveloped in plastic bags to maximize hygiene . On the bad side , the legroom was not at all what I would have expected from Premium Economy on such a

long flight : a mere 36 ”, when most other airlines feature 38- 40 ( and sometimes even 42-43 ).
Continuing my inspection , I noticed the adjustable headrest with side flaps to keep the head steady while sleeping , the generous 12-inch IFE screen , the retractable footrest under the front seat , a USB port next to the screen , a universal socket on the front side of the console separating me from my neighbor , the remote control for the IFE , a button to call the Flight Attendants , a cup holder on the

right armrest , and a table that pulled out from the armrest itself .
Next to the left armrest , about 7-8 inches of space separated the seat from the cabin wall and the window , which enhanced the feeling of personal space , at least transversally . The onboard bar menu and the emergency instructions ( both in poor condition ) were housed in an ugly plastic net that was very ‘ low-cost ’.
After takeoff , the FAs handed out a small but very colorful
