An hour after departure , lunch was served on a plastic tray covered with a paper napkin and metal cutlery . The choice for the main course ( which I had already glimpsed by checking the IFE contents ) was either chicken bites in a cinnamon sauce accompanied by coconut milk mashed potatoes and a generic ‘ pasta with tomato sauce ’. The presentation of the meal was at Economy Class level , except for the steel cutlery and glass , as all the food bowls were plastic and the napkin was paper .

8 The ‘ second meal ’ ( as the airline calls it ), generally known as ‘ pre-arrival snack ’, consisted of a tasteless sandwich filled with some kind of tomato sauce ( and nothing else !), a bowl of yogurt , a micro-chocolate biscuit and a cold or hot drink

there was no garlic , which I hate in any dish ). From the cod soufflé with sweet pepper sauce to the chicken and mashed potatoes , up to the small cheese plate with candied figs , everything was fine except for the dessert , which had the consistency of a buttery , mushy muffin with candied figs . was rounded up by an offer of coffee , tea , and digestifs .
After two hours of flight , the tray having been removed from the table , I explored the IFE : it offered three view cams ( front , tail , underneath ), and a rather basic version of the moving maps we aviation enthusiasts love so much . The movie selection included 55 films , with a negative note ( at least half were French ) and a positive one ( all were subtitled in English ). The TV series selection was very

Among the IFE ’ s contents , three additional and much appreciated items were the updated meal menus for the flights from Paris , all the cities served by Frenchbee , and the menu ( with prices ) of the onboard Blue Café bar , with drinks , snacks , and sandwiches available for purchase . |
