The movie choice was very wide , with not only recent and attractive titles but also a great number of Asian and Vietnamese productions . TV series were a very different story , with no more than five popular titles , and only about three episodes of each .
A significant drawback in terms of entertainment was related to the Wi-Fi service , which was not offered at all . Wi-Fi access , even for a small fee , has today become standard with most airlines , especially on long-haul flights . So , the lack of this service on such a lengthy journey felt like a hardship .
AMAZING CATERING
The food was , by far , the best aspect of the on-board product .

The length of the route called for a two-meal service : lunch after departure , and breakfast before arrival .
Immediately after takeoff , the crew handed out a small snack along with a drink of choice . I found the nuts to be the spiciest I had ever eaten on a flight , until I checked the ingredients and found they were actually pure wasabi peas . Serving this kind of snack is a very courageous move by Vietnam Airlines , given that spicy food may not be welcomed by a good many passengers .
Minutes later , lunch was served . There were two options : beef with rice and vegetables , and fish with mashed potatoes . Alongside these mains , the meal included a cold salad , bread and butter , cheese with crackers , a coconut cake … the list went on and on .
The variety of the food , as well as its taste , was amazing . However , the highlight of the
