United first debuted the Polaris Lounge in Chicago ( ORD ) at the end of 2016 and has since opened these Business-Classonly lounges at all its other domestic hubs , including Los Angeles ( LAX ), San Francisco ( SFO ), Washington DC ( IAD ), Houston , and Newark . The club , which will be located in B-West , will open in 2024 .

Denver-based ultra-low-costcarrier Frontier Airlines ( F9 ) will receive a new 14-gate facility . This will replace the temporary commuter jet gates located at the eastern end of Concourse A and will cost US $ 183 million .
The expansion will include five brand-new gates and nine remodeled ones in a 120,000sq ft ( 11,150m 2 ) facility — 37,000sq ft ( 3,440m 2 ) of new space and 83,000sq ft ( 7,710m 2 ) of renovated space . Adjacent to the building will be an 8,000sq ft ( 745m 2 ) maintenance facility where Frontier will be able to store parts and house personnel . The new gates will include new charging stations , a pet relief area , a nursing room , and food and retail stores .
Frontier , the airport ’ s third largest airline , currently operates out of nine gates in Concourse A . Once the expanded ground-load facility will have been completed in early 2024 , Frontier will move there and exclusively use all 14 gates . The move will open up more gates for other airlines .
Once Frontier will have moved into the new facility , passengers will have to step on the tarmac to board and disembark . Although this method will save Frontier money , the airline said
