AIRPORT REVIEW Denver International Airport the decision was more about efficiency . The new gates will enable quicker turnaround times between flights — in some cases , cutting them by 50 %. This is because Frontier will be able to board and disembark passengers using both the front and rear doors . The downside will be that passengers will have a long walk between the gates and the center of Concourse A , and be more exposed to the weather .

Previously , Frontier had leased 14 gates in Denver but , in late 2015 , gave up six to save money . Frontier now serves almost 80 destinations from Denver , has a market share of 11 %, and maintains DEN as its second largest base , after Orlando International Airport ( MCO ).

FUTURE GROWTH

DEN has emerged from the pandemic stronger than ever .. Its network seems to be constantly expanding . Last August , Aer Lingus announced that it would start service between Denver and Dublin on a four times weekly route beginning in May 2024 . Aer Lingus thus became the 24th airline to serve Denver .

Denver ’ s Great Hall Project and other renovations are meant to meet the needs of travelers through the 21st century . If the airport ’ s leaders have judged correctly , DEN will continue to be one of the best airports for passenger experience and connectivity .
