27 Mackenzie Air Service timetable effective August 1 , 1939 . Mackenzie was one of several companies purchased by the Canadian Pacific Railway in order to form Canadian Pacific Airlines .
28 29 While most timetables came in a standard 4 ” x 9 ” folded form ( 8 ” x 9 ” unfolded ), not all fit that format . Illustrated are Aeropostal of Venezuela ’ s 12 ” x 8.25 ” December 15 , 1968 timetable introducing the Douglas DC-9-14 , and Swissair ’ s Working Timetable from 1978 - a ring binder with pages that could be removed and replaced - for use by travel agents and customer service agents .
