4 The Boeing 767 carrying me on this flight was TF-ISN , Icelandair ’ s largest airliner . The aircraft was recently repainted with the airline ’ s new livery .
5 The Saga Premium cabin on board is equipped with 25 seats in a 2-1-2 layout . The middle seat comes with access to both aisles . The seats do not turn into a lie-flat beds , which was more than fine for such a short flight .

cabin : equipped with 237 seats in a 2-3-2 layout , the cabin provides a comfortable environment with just one middle seat per row .
Flying during peak months often means full cabins ; that day was no exception . The load factor on FI501 was high , with a fully booked Saga Premium cabin . Thanks to the smaller overhead bins above the central row , the cabin felt spacious and , in general , clean . In contrast to the warm welcome given by the cabin crew , what felt slightly anonymous was the color palette . The shades of gray found in the upholstery and curtains could be a bit more colorful , following Icelandair ’ s new livery identity .

At my seat , I found a bottle of water , a comfortable pillow , and a drink menu . Before takeoff , the cabin crew handed out a pair of noise-cancelling headphones ( they would ensure these were returned before landing ). Unlike its North American network , Icelandair does not offer an amenity kit on flights to / from Europe .
We taxied slightly late due to congestion in the Dutch airspace and soon headed northwest , climbing through some clouds .
The pitch of the comfortable Saga Premium recliner seats is 40 ”, more than adequate for a three-hour flight . Aside from
