Although I was aware of Icelandair ’ s catering reputation before boarding , my already high expectations were regularly exceeded throughout the four flights I took . An aperitif service started as soon as we reached our cruise altitude . It started with a gin menu . Icelandair offers seven different locally distilled gins to pair with premium tonics . My drink was nicely paired with some sundried tomato grissini , creating an aperitif I would expect from a good bar in Southern Italy . A ‘ light lunch ’
